Columbia University - Course Facilitator Program

Columbia University is hiring course facilitators for the Summer 2022 term to assist instructors with running courses. There are in-person and fully remote opportunities available. 

Program Dates

June 13th, 2022- August 15, 2022 (inclusive of two-week training period)

Eligibility

Applicants must be currently enrolled in a degree program and have studied in the United States for at least one academic year prior to the start of the internship.

Authorization to work in the United States is required and cannot be provided or sponsored by Columbia University.  If you are unsure of your work eligibility, please confer with your home institution's International Student Services Office.

Employees must be located in the United States for the duration of their appointment, regardless of modality. 

On Campus Applicants Only - Must live in commutable distance to Columbia University as housing is not provided for this role. 

Application Information & Requirements

Applications will not be reviewed until all materials have been received. Online recommendation forms can arrive after the online application form and resume have been submitted.

  • Application Form: The online application form must be completed in its entirety prior to being submitted. The application form can be fully previewed by following the form link. Applicants can save entered information and return to the form at a later time.
  • Résumé: Applicants will be asked to attach a detailed résumé to their online application form. Please list any relevant coursework that may be applicable to this role. The résumé should be in PDF format and should be titled with the applicant's name. 
  • Recommendation Forms: Recommendation formsmust be submitted by an applicant's professor, advisor, or other university administrator. The form must be submitted via the Google Form after the application has been submitted.  A recommender should know the applicant well and should comment on their professionalism and academic, intellectual, and problem solving skills. Recommendation forms submitted by the applicant or by mail will not be accepted. 
  • Personal Interviews. Qualified applicants will be contacted to schedule an online interview after their application has been reviewed and deemed eligible to move on to the next round of the application process.
